About Kevlar® by DuPont®

BLACK LABEL BIKER® is the only authorized brand in Mexico manufactured with Kevlar® by Dupont® Original , and exceeds up to 3 times the parameters of the current European standard for motorcyclist clothing.

Kevlar® is a polyamide compound invented and patented by Dupont®, which is extremely resistant to abrasion and cutting. Most motorcycle jeans are made from "aramid" fabrics similar to Kevlar®, but they are usually thinner fabrics and do not have the quality certifications or support provided by an international company such as Dupont®.

You can be 100% sure that every model of BLB® pants has been tested and certified in Dupont® laboratories, which speaks to our integrity as a company and our concern for your safety. No other "aramid" offered on the market has this backing.

FAQ:

WHY CHOOSE KEVLAR® JEANS INSTEAD OF TRADITIONAL CORDURA® PANTS?

ABRASION - HEAT RESISTANCE - CUT RESISTANCE

Cordura® material, commonly used in motorcycle suits, is a synthetic fabric that is resistant to abrasion, but not cuts. If you were to be involved in an accident and a sharp stone, metal or some sharp accessory on the motorcycle were to cut your pants, your skin would be exposed and the abrasion protection would be of little use in that case, since the friction process would begin to fray the fabric quickly.

Kevlar® has significantly higher abrasion resistance as well as resistance to cutting by sharp objects, which is why it is even used for industrial protective equipment, body armor and bulletproof vests. This feature makes it far superior in protective clothing for motorcyclists, which no other type of material offers.

Cordura® fabrics, despite being abrasion resistant, heat up with friction (being a 100% synthetic fabric), which can cause serious burns. Kevlar®, on the other hand, does not heat up with friction, due to the inherent properties of the material.

The only advantage of Cordura® over Kevlar® is that some Cordura® garments are water resistant, but most of them require additional waterproof liners that you have to install inside the pants, which makes them impractical when riding a motorcycle. Most riders always prefer an additional waterproof outer shell, in case of rain, as these liners are usually too hot or are not breathable fabrics.

WHAT MAKES BLACK LABEL BIKER® JEANS DIFFERENT FROM OTHER MOTORCYCLE JEANS OPTIONS ON THE MARKET?

COMFORT - SAFETY - WARRANTY

Black Label Biker® is the only jeans brand made with Dupont® certified Kevlar®. In addition, the type of Kevlar® we use exceeds CE requirements, managing to exceed European standards for motorcycle clothing by up to 3 times. With this, you can be sure that there is no better level of protection in a motorcycle garment that is also the most comfortable garment available for riding.

Black Label Biker® is the brand that provides the MOST COVERAGE of Kevlar® on the market. Other brands of motorcycle jeans only have "aramid" (imitation Kevlar®) coverage on the buttocks, knees and a little on the sides, and it is a thin layer, in order to reduce costs at the expense of reducing safety.

Black Label Biker® is the only motorcycle jeans brand on the market that offers a LIFETIME WARRANTY in case of an accident. No other jeans brand on the market offers this guarantee.

WHY ARE HIP AND KNEE PROTECTIONS NOT INCLUDED WITH THE JEANS?
You can use any hip and knee protection with your jeans. The reason they are not included is because truly certified protections are expensive (in the case of BLB® protections, they are CE2 certified), and we try to keep the most competitive price for our products. So, you can have 2 or more pairs of jeans and simply swap the protections between them when you use them.

Remember to check the condition of the protections on all your equipment from time to time, as these also wear out with use.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN THAT "BLACK LABEL BIKER® JEANS EXCEED THE EUROPEAN STANDARD BY UP TO 3 TIMES"?
There are several American and European standards for testing motorcycle products. In the case of pants, these must be subjected to abrasion tests, with the European standard being the strictest in this regard. Black Label Biker® pants are designed with a denser layer of Kevlar®, which translates into greater abrasion resistance for longer time and distance, exceeding up to 3 times the abrasion resistance required by the standard.

The real concern for a motorcyclist in the event of an accident should be abrasion, and the clothing they wear should be focused on the greatest possible resistance to it.

YOU SHOULD ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT: "What you save on protective equipment for riding your motorcycle, you could pay more than 100 times in hospitals if you don't choose the right equipment."
